Crown and Bridges

Crown and bridge are artificial teeth to replace your missing teeth.

Crowns are a cap like structure that is placed on a tooth to protect it from breaking off. A crown can be placed for multiple reasons including

• 1. A chipped off tooth
• 2. A root canal treated tooth where a wall of the tooth is missing
• 3. If only a very small area of the tooth is visible in the mouth, a crown can be placed after a post and core technique
• 4. In cases of chipped teeth

Crowns and bridge are available in metal, ceramic (tooth coloured) or metal free materials.

They are shade matched to your natural teeth before placement so that no one can make out you have them.

A Bridge involves multiple crowns fused together to replace the missing teeth. They generally have a support of a natural tooth in the front and back. The main function of placing a bridge is to restore chewing function and improving the smile in case of missing front teeth
