The process of implant involves placement of a biocompatible screw into the jaw bone and leave it for around 3 to 4 months to integrate with bone. During this phase a temporary crown can be placed to provide aesthetics /function. After the successful integration the permanent crown is placed over the screw.

Unlike bridges placing implants causes less damage to the surrounding tooth structure as the support from adjacent teeth isn’t required. Implants look and function like natural teeth and help in maintaining bone height.

They can also be used in replacing teeth in areas when there is no support at the back to place the teeth. With placing few implants(4 to 6) around the jaw completely fixed replacement of all missing teeth in the jaw can be done.
